Quick tip N2. Proportional Editing

Proportional editing in Blender can be used to quickly produce swirls (we can think of pumpkin “tail”, such as one in my previous – Halloween – post).

Especially interesting:¬†Connected mode in proportional editing tab. With this option enabled, proportional editing doesn’t influence all nearby vertices, only ones that are connected by the flow of geometry. So, it becomes possible to manipulate continuous, twisted, long objects, such as horns, or ropes – fluidly.

Cool tip! Hard to follow though. When you created the cube, how did you get the new object to be on the floor?
