How to accelerate Blender viewport? In this quick tip, we’re going to use Display Tools to boost viewport performance. Basically, we’ll turn double-sided lighting off to improve frame rate by a decent number – automatically and for many objects.
How to accelerate Blender viewport? In this quick tip, we’re going to use Display Tools to boost viewport performance. Basically, we’ll turn double-sided lighting off to improve frame rate by a decent number – automatically and for many objects.

For example, on my 650m scene navigation gets much more fluent, from 5 fps to ~20-30 fps.

Basically, it’s the same procedure as turning Double Sided lighting off in Object Data menu, but more convenient for many objects at once and simpler to reach.
