Here is My Favorite 8 Ways to Get Inspired (I Especially Like the First One)

No, coffee is not the only source of inspiration for me. Listen to #AskGleb episode 5 to discover more ways to get inspired (in a big way!). Including coffee.

#1 ultimate source of inspiration for me is the understanding that our lives are short. Damn short.

And to achieve something, you’d better start creating your art… right now!

Actually, I would even suggest you to close the browser and go ahead.

This quote by Steve Jobs describes it all:

“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful … that’s what matters to me.”

#2 certainly is Beeple. He is insane, and your head will probably explode when you try to keep such tempo. Almost 3000 consecutive images daily.

To learn what my other favorite ways to get inspired, listen to the the podcast.

#AskGleb 05 – the fifth podcast from the Q&A series, devoted to computer graphics, art, coffee, Blender, productivity and whatever else with Gleb Alexandrov.

2. Why Every Artist Should Become a Media

In today’s world, creating the art… isn’t enough to become a better artist. Learning the software is not enough too.

What you really need is to become a media.

I like to browse through concept art galleries/websites and see the amazing designs, both in 2D and 3D. Like artstation.com and drawcrowd.com
What inspire me the most are the environments, not so much characters.

    • Steve, I prefer environments too (and if you browse through my gallery, you will see plenty of abandoned environments). Characters are definitely not my biggest talent.

Hey Gleb, do you still have a forum up for image criticism? I know you did before but I was wondering if those are still up. (I’d post it here but I didn’t want to put it in the wrong place) 🙂
